I had a wonderful hour-long conversation with professor Ivars Austers where we touched upon issues such as what is the field of art history today and where it’s heading, what are its overlaps and interactions with other fields such as sociology, big data, network analysis, and so on, and we also briefly discussed my research on social media photography and Instagram selfies in particular.
